Storing and transporting ice cubes in Atlas trolleys or containers for up to 20 hours with only a 10% loss

 

The Icebridge Wet Ice Box is designed for storing and transporting ice cubes in Atlas trolleys or containers to cool beverages onboard. Passengers will always receive fresh new ice cubes for their drinks.

 

The Icebridge Wet Ice Box is made out of highly insulating ultra light materials that have been designed for easy operations in the air and on the ground. The ice cubes stay fresh and solid for up to 20 hours with only a 10% loss due to melting. The Icebridge Wet Ice Box will contain the melting water inside the box and secure that no water will be leaked on the galley or cabin floors. For extended cooling a freezable and reusable Icebridge Cooling Cassette can be placed inside the box.

Catering Operations

The Icebridge Wet Ice Box will be filled with fresh ice cubes at the catering unit and placed inside the Atlas trolley to be dispatched to the aircraft. Once used trolleys arrive to the catering unit the Icebridge Wet Ice Box is placed into the standard tunnel washing machine with other catering equipment and then prepared for the next flight.

 

Service Scenario

Fly Airways Flight Attendant Linda is preparing her drink trolley in the galley and her trolley has an Icebridge Wet Ice Box inside. During the drink service Linda serves drinks normally to the passengers and fills them with ice from the Icebridge Wet Ice Box she has inside her trolley or from a smaller container, which she has filled and placed on top of the trolley with drinks. Throughout the flight and following flight legs Linda has fresh ice cubes inside the Icebridge Wet Ice Box, which she can serve for passengers.
